UPDATED FRIDAY 27/11: These are my picks for the week, the best and tastiest items that I have personally tasted and recommend: FRUIT: STONE FRUITS HAVE ARRIVED!! CHERRIES, PEACHES, APRICOTS AND NECTARINES ARE ALL NOW AVAILABLE!! Valencia Oranges have now started and are very good, sweet and juicy. Strawberries have been beautiful. Australian Blueberries are juicy and large and great value right now!! Granny Smith Apples are A NEW BATCH AND VERY GOOD, almost finished now. Avocados are EXCELLENT, large size this week. Pink Lady Apples are crunchy and sweet. Bananas are great. Fresh Dates are very nice and plump. VEGGIES are all of great quality at the moment. Beautiful Gourmet and Roma Tomatoes now available Cherry Tomatoes are excellent, nice and sweet. Snow Peas are crisp and beautiful. Green Beans are beautiful as well. Lebanese Cucumbers are crisp and crunchy! Carrots are sweet and crunchy. Celery Bunches are crisp and beautiful. Mushrooms are beautiful and snow white, Swiss Browns also available now and then. Broccoli is beautiful, as are the Broccolini bunches. Cauliflower are beautiful, snow white and crunchy. New season Purple Italian Garlic is very nice and aromatic. Zucchini are excellent, Red and Green Capsicums are now starting to trickle in from the growers but are still very scarce, Silver beet, Kale and Cos Lettuce are very good, as are Jap and Butternut Pumpkins, Sweet Potatoes and Dutch Cream Potatoes. Don't forget, I only choose premium quality produce to go in your box and I am super fussy! Some other suppliers may have fruit listed that I don't but that is because the fruit is not up to scratch, either taste or quality wise. I respect that you are trusting me to select great fresh produce for you so you need to trust me when I don't list something which may be available elsewhere. Organic produce is already expensive enough, there's no need to spend good money on fruit that just doesn't taste real good just yet, best to wait a little until the fruit develops it's sugars and becomes sweet. I try almost everything before I certify it as great tasting produce...So if you have ordered something and you don't receive it, you know why! Cheers, George.
